Albert Joseph Bennett, III , 61, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away on,Saturday, July 11, 2015 at his home.
Born February 9, 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama, he was the son of the late Albert Joseph Bennett, Jr. and Clara Jane (Hancock)
Mr. Bennett grew up in Hagerstown and was a long time resident prior to his relocating to Georgia in 1996.
He was active in Little League baseball for many years in Hagerstown, coaching, managing and umpiring games.
Mr. Bennett had worked as a salesman with Georgia Pacific.
Survivors include, His Wife, Cynthia Bennett of Acworth ; Daughter, Erin Cavendish (Christopher) of Woodstock, Ga.; Son, Albert Joseph Bennett, IV (Stephanie) of Acworth; Grandchildren, Haleigh Cavendish and Caleb Cavendish; Sisters, Lorri Brechbill of Hagerstown, Md. and Linda Artz of Williamsport, Md.; Numerous Nieces and Nephews also survive.
At his request, Mr. Bennett was cremated and a Memorial Services is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 17, 2105 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with the Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating.
Inurnment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
