Alfred Fiedler, Sr., 98, of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2020 at Robinwood Senior Living.
Born on May 29, 1922, in Scotch Plains, NJ., he was the son of the late Ernest Fiedler and Julianna (Sarga) Fiedler . He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Helen Fiedler, his son; Ronnie Fiedler; brothers; Ernest Fiedler, Jr., Herman Fiedler, and Frankie Fiedler, and sister; Helen (Fiedler) Holled.
Alfred was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and served in World War II in Hiroshima, Japan.
Alfred retired from Mack Truck in Hagerstown as a Machinist after 44 years of service.
He is survived by his sons Alfred Fiedler, Jr. and wife George Ann and Paul Fiedler and wife Debbie, Grandchildren; Joshua and wife Katie, Daniel, Sarah Reese and husband Derek and Lindsay Fiedler-Martin and husband Jason, Great Grandchildren; Austin and Aiden Fiedler and Carley Reese, and one sister Pauline Dryburgh.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Alfred's name to a charity of one's choice.
