Arlene Deanna Vann, 73, of Hagerstown, passed away Wednesday, Feb., 16, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.
Born Jan. 14, 1938, in Star Tannery, Va., she was the daughter of the late Ordra and Laura E. (Shell) Racey.
Arlene had worked as a seamstress for the London Fog factory in Hagerstown.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. Beautiful and unselfish, she always cared for and brought joy to everyone around her. She is and always will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Linnie Roy Vann.
She is survived by three sons, Linnie R. Vann Jr., Roger D. Vann, and Todd T. Vann; seven grandchildren, Bambi Jackson, Hannah Vann, Karlie Vann, Eric Vann, Jacob Vann, Linnie R. Vann III and Skyler Vann; and three great-grandchildren, Kiana Jackson, Kaden Jackson and Jordan Vann.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
