Arthur "Buss" Clarence Shearer, Jr.

Arthur “Buss” Clarence Shearer, Jr. passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Born on February 25, 1934, he was the son of the late Arthur Shearer, Sr. and Anna (Walters) Shearer.

Arthur was a proud Air Force veteran, having served his country during the Korean war. He was a retired letter carrier for the postal service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Barbara Shearer; sons in law, Greg Nutter and Roy Gilleo; grandson, Christopher Michael; and four sisters.

Arthur is survived by four daughters, Sharon Nutter Gilleo, Judy Cree (Randy), Beth Schildknecht (Steve), and Laura Melville (Paul); son in law, Leslie Michael III; grandchildren, Kelly Michael, and Jamie Boryk (John); and great grandchildren, Caden Rose, and Benjamin and Lucy Boryk.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home with a graveside service following immediately at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
