Barbara Ellen Barkdoll

Barbara Ellen Barkdoll, 96, of State Line, Pa., went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at her home.Born August 11, 1928, in State Line, she was the daughter of the late, George William Sellers II and Sarah Prudence (Shaffer) Sellers. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert L. Barkdoll and one brother, George W. Sellers, III.Barbara was a member of the Berean Bible Fellowship, State Line. Barbara's main goal in life was to tell everyone about eternal life through Jesus Christ her Lord. She was very passionate for missions in Haiti and visited Haiti many times. Through her Barb & Friends puppet ministry, the gospel has gone forth and touched many lives. She was the primary care giver to her husband who was a double amputee for many years.Barbara is survived by three sons, Michael J. Barkdoll (Georgia), McConnellsburg, Pa.,Thomas L. Barkdoll (Samie), Hershey, Pa., and Dana J. Barkdoll (Sharon), Linthicum, Md.; four grandchildren, Michelle, Glen Burnie, Md., Jesse (Rachel), Rockville, Md., Sierra, Key Largo, Fla., and Nathanael (Fiance, Nicole), Linthicum, Md.A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service, from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M.Interment will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery.
