Barbara Jean Kroboth

Barbara Jean Kroboth, 65, of Hagerstown, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born Dec. 12, 1945, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Walter Magaha Sr. and Hazel Pauline (Domer) Magaha.
Barbara was the owner and operator of BJâ??s Market in Hagerstown, retiring after 24 years of service.
She was an avid bingo player, having won a lifetime of free bingo at the Volunteer Fire Co. of Halfway.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, John Joseph Kroboth; two stepsons, John L. Kroboth and Gregory Kroboth, both of Hagerstown; three stepdaughters, Carolyn Aleshire of Clear Spring, Teresa Bishop of Williamsport and Pamela Line of Hagerstown; three brothers, Gary Magaha of Greencastle, and Terry Magaha and Glen Magaha, both of Hagerstown; one sister, Donna Swope of Hagerstown; two granddaughters, Beth Grove and Torie Grove; 11 stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren, Mariah Turner, Daniel Turner Jr., Diamond Turner, Jason Showe and Chase Grove; 14 stepgreat-grandchildren; and her pet dog, Pepper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David W. Grove.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Chaplain Mike Simane officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
