Barbara Louise Hammond

Barbara Louise Hammond, 80, of Hagerstown passed away Tuesday, May 10th, 2022, at her home, doing what she loved, gardening.
Born October 31, 1941, in Hagerstown, She was the daughter of the late Oneda L. (Palmer) and Richard Irvin Hammond. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Richard L. Hammond and Donovan G. Hammond.
Barbara graduated from Boonsboro High School class of 1959.
Barbara worked various jobs, including owner and operator of Hammond’s Greenhouse, she also worked at American Molding and most recently for Bon Ton.
Barbara was an avid gardener, and was of Christian Faith.
She is survived by her sister Nancy Shank and husband John of Smithsburg, her brother Robert Hammond and wife Sondra of Hagerstown, Sister in law, Sharon Hammond; and nieces and nephews, Stacy, Kelly, Donovan Jr., Brenton, Stephanie, and Matthew.
A funeral service will be held Monday, May 23, 2022, at 12 PM at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
