Betty Lee Sullivan

Betty Lee Sullivan, 87, of Hagerstown, passed away, Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Homewood of Williamsport.

Born December 29, 1928 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Paul Vernon McKenzie, Sr. and Edith Margaret (Shank) McKenzie. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Charles Raymond Sullivan.

Mrs. Sullivan was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.

She had worked for the Washington County Board of Education at Western Heights Middle School as part of the kitchen staff. She previously had worked for the Hagerstown Shoe Company.

Mrs. Sullivan was an avid Baltimore Orioles, Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens fan. She loved gardening in her flower bed, cooking, canning and baking.

Mrs. Sullivan is survived by three children, Judy L. Barr and husband, Charles, Vickie L. Hendrickson and husband, Robert, Charles E. Sullivan and wife Alice Towne; one sister, Bonita "Bonnie" Leigh; one brother, Paul V. McKenzie, Jr. all of Hagerstown; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Charles Schroer officiating.

Entombment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery's Mausoleum.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 4-6 P.M. at the funeral home.
