Betty Loraine Gilliam

Betty Loraine Gilliam, 87, of Hagerstown, passed away, Friday, March 18, 2016 at her home.
Born February 18, 1929 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Denver W. and Ilda (Rummel) Kretzer. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Melvin D. Gilliam and one brother, Doanld D. Kretzer.
Mrs. Gilliam retired in 1991 from Corning where she worked in distribution center, Greencastle, Pa.
She is survived by one son, Randy S. Gilliam and wife, Charlene of Falling Waters, W.Va.; one brother, Richard E. Kretzer and wife, Patricia of Hagerstown; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30 until 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Betty's name to the Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742
