Beulah May (Barkley) Boore
Beulah May (Barkley) Boore, 83, of Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at CJ Senior Living Center.
Born March 21, 1930 in Charleston, WV., she was the daughter of the late Floyd Pinkney and Virgie (Lamb) Barkley.
Beulah was a graduate of Tygarts Valley High School.
She was a member of Washington Square United Methodist Church in Hagerstown and enjoyed going to evening services at the Woodpoint Christian Chapel. Beulah enjoyed church functions and preparing food for these events. She liked gospel music and will be remembered by her willingness to help those in need. She volunteered at the Hagerstown Salvation Army as well as the Hagerstown Rescue Mission.
Beulah worked as a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years,Carl L. Boore, who passed away in April, 2011; and three brothers, Richard, Lee and Bill Barkley.
Beulah is survived by her daughter, Lisa M. Stoneking and husband Kevin; a grandson, Matthew Carl Stoneking all of Hagerstown; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Jerry Lowans officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
