Beverly Jo Barnes danced her way into heaven with two feet and no pain on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
Born on June 7, 1948, to the late William M. and Leonia H. (Barbee) Barnes. Beverly grew up on the family farm in Leitersburg, Maryland and spent her life in Maryland until retirement.
After graduation from North Hagerstown High School Class of 1966. Beverly went to work for then Nicodemus National Bank and watched the bank make its many changes for the next 43 years.
Beverly came from a large family of eleven children and was proceeded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Bettie Kline, Elmo Barnes, Sis Bachtell, Jack Barnes, Bud Barnes, Barbara Kline and Butch Barnes.
Beverly is survived by Jim Barnes, Peggy Koontz, and Patty Izer with who she resided for the past 10 years in Georgia, as well as many devoted and beloved nieces and nephews.
To those in need, Beverly was that “quiet angel” to lighten the burden. We will forever miss her quick wit and ability to bring laughter up to her last moments. If you knew “BJ” you are now remembering some of your own Beverly moments. Find the laughter.
Services will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
