Bonnie Louise Ruch

Bonnie Louise Ruch, 79, of Hagerstown, passed away, Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born October 2, 1940 in Washington DC she was the daughter of the late, James Harold and Sarah Sands (Paddock) Moore.
Bonnie was a 1959 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, Alexandria, Va.
She retired with 20 years of service as a secretary for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington DC and then at Fort George C. Meade, Md.
Bonnie was a member of Nicholas-Bethel United Methodist Church, Odenton, Md. where she was a Sunday School teacher for 17 years. She attended Paramount Brethren in Christ Church and the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, both of Hagerstown; a member of the L.O.O. Moose, Ladies Auxiliary in Glen Burnie, Md. Her hobbies included, dancing, antique shopping, gardening, crafting flower arrangements. She enjoyed going to Ocean City and was a fan of the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Orioles.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 52 years, Vincent Supplee Ruch, Jr.; three daughters, Holly Lynn Toft (David) of Baltimore, Wendy Sue Ruch of Hagerstown and Tammy Ann Smith (Dennis) of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one brother, John H. Moore, Sr. (Lillian) of Gambrills, Md.; three grandchildren, Carol Toft, Scott Toft and Karen Toft and many nieces and nephews. Other family members include four half brother-in-laws, Donald Ruch, Harry Green (Sharon), James Green (Connie) and Robert Green (Brenda); four half sisters-in-laws, Mareleen Moor (Tom), Sandra Green, Shirley Schitzhaur (Joe) and Jodi Fooshe
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1-2 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Brother James Rivers officiating.
Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
