Carl Leroy Boore, 78, of Hagerstown, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at the Williamsport Retirement Center.
Born April 29, 1932, in Springfield, W.Va., he was the son of the late James and Mabel (Landis) Boore.
Mr. Boore was a member of Washington Square United Methodist, Hagerstown.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He retired as a sheet metal worker with Danzer Metal Works, Hagerstown.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Beulah M. (Barkley) Boore; a daughter, Lisa M. Stoneking and husband, Kevin, of Hagerstown; a sister, Beverly J. Boward and husband, Joseph, and a grandson, Matthew Carl Stoneking.
In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma E. Smith, and two brothers, James Ernest Boore and George Earl Boore.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Jerry Lowans officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
