Carolyn Louise Bowman

Carolyn Louise Bowman, 76, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was the wife of Phillip Henry Rader.
Born on October 7, 1946 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edgar Thomas and Hazel Irene (Obitts) Thomas Jones. She was a longtime member of the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren and she enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens. She worked for many years as an Administrative Secretary at Arnetts Garage until her retirement. 
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her step-sons, Scott Rader and wife Erin and Matthew Rader; grandchildren, Mikayla Petroske and John Rader; sister, Barbara Jean Churchy and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard A. Bowman and brothers, Charles Thomas Jr and Richard Obitts.
The family will receive friends from noon until 1pm on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Twyla Rowe officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
