Catherine Alberta Heiston, 86, of Hagerstown, passed away, Tuesday, December 23, 2014.
Born January 9, 1928, in Old Town, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William W. and Margaret Catherine (Gilliam) Crabtree. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband, of 30 years, Lloyd Calvin Heiston, Sr.; four brothers, William, Judea, Evans and Harold Crabtree and one sister, Virginia Lewis.
Mrs. Heiston was a homemaker and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Her hobbies included gardening, reading and her love of animals.
She is survived by three children, Lloyd C. Heiston, Jr. and significant other, Pam Scott of Hagerstown, Penny Florek and husband, Stephen of Williamsport and Vicky Stouffer and husband Steven of Hagerstown; three sisters, Jeannie Sours, Dorothy Kave and Daisy Kinzer, all of Hagerstown; eleven grandchildren, Audrea Peck, Katie Heiston, Lily Heiston, Denver Newlin, Angela Henson, Larry Florek, Dale Heavner, Shawn Heavner, Stephen Florek Jr., Jennifer Sowers and Jenelle Faini; twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with the Rev. Collin Poston officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Monday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
