Catherine Louise Andrews

Catherine Louise "Kitty" (Lewis) Andrews, 88, widow of Paul Leroy Andrews went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Coffman Nursing Home.
Born August 28, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Maurice Henry and Hazel (Routzahn) Lewis. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Paul Leroy Andrews who died April 13, 1998.
Catherine was a 1945 graduate of Hagerstown High School. She went to work at the Hagerstown Shoe Company and then retiring from the First National Bank and in later years worked at the Hagerstown Dry Cleaners.
She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church for 75 years and a member of the Fidelity Sunday School class. She was very active with the seniors until her health declined over the last few years. Catherine loved to do volunteer work at the Martinsburg VA Center through the AmVets Post 10 and at Reeders Nursing Home with ladies of the church. She was a friend to all she met.
She is survived by a daughter, Deborah E. Lightner and companion, Gordon Cook of Falling Waters, W.Va.; a son, Donald L. Andrews and wife Kristin of Williamsport, Md. and a granddaughter, Abigail Andrews.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc., 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Elizabeth Jackson officiating. Interment will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Monday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
