Charles Sylvester Doyle, Jr.

Charles Sylvester Doyle, Jr., 84, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Sterling Care, Boonsboro, Md.

Born July 5, 1940 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, Charles S. Doyle, Sr. and June Rozelle (Spong) Doyle. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by his loving wife of 21 years, Geraldine L. Doyle; a daughter, Robin S. Smith and a son, Scott A. Doyle.

Mr. Doyle was a 1959 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.

He retired from the City of Hagerstown, Light Department after 37 years of services.

He was an avid NASCAR fan, lover of sports, horse racing and enjoyed watching the Baltimore Ravens.

 Mr. Doyle is survived by five step children; six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, he also is survived by his brother, Gerald L. Doyle and wife Catherine and his best friend, Jason Gladhill.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
