Charles Richard "Casey" Slate
Born December 24, 1942 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, Robert Thomas and Kathleen Lucille (Martin) Slate. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pamela Jean (Barnhart) Slate; a daughter, Kristin L. Slate and one sister, Peggy Hellane.
Mr. Slate was employed as a gas station attendant and then had worked as a back hoe operator for CW Wright Construction.
He was an avid golfer and a member of Whitetail Golf and Ski Resort in addition to being a Maryland Terrapins Sports and New York Yankees fan.
Mr. Slate is survived by two children, Charles Richard "Chuck" Slate II and Keira Solanki and husband, Manoj; one grandson, Joshua Solanki; two brothers, Robert T. Slate II and George B. Slate.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
