Clarence A. Pepple, Jr., 81, of Hagerstown, Md, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center.
Born Oct. 21, 1937 in Waynesboro Pa., he was the son of the late Clarence A. Pepple, Sr., and Luray (Snyder) Pepple. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Priscilla Powell; and two brothers, James Pepple and Walter Alter.
He graduated from Scotland School for Veteran Children in Scotland, Pa.
He later served in the U.S. Army for three years.
Clarence was employed at the Frick Company in Waynesboro, Pa. for 41 years.
He enjoyed fishing and bowling. He was a member of Gateway Ministries.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Pepple, of 57 years; three daughters, Christina Pepple of Hagerstown, Angela Weber of Berkeley, W. Va., and Sebrenna Smith of Smithsburg, Md.; one son, Wesley Pepple, Hagerstown; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister, Lois Creager, Waynesboro, Pa; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc., 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown, Md 21742. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown. Rev. David Price will be officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior at the funeral home.
