Clarence "Chubby" David Mastrouni, a beloved resident of Falling Waters WV, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 7, 1932, In Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph and Hattie Mastrouni.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers, and 4 sisters. 

Clarence, known as Chubby, was an Army Veteran who served his country in Korea, earning the Bronze Star and the Good Conduct Medal. He was the proud owner of Zip Gas Mart in Hagerstown for many years, his good sense of humor, selfless nature, and generous spirit made everyone who walked through the door feel like part of his extended family. Clarence lived a life rich with stories, laughter, and a true comedian at heart. In faith, he was a spiritual man, dedicated to his Catholic beliefs, which guided him throughout his life.

Clarence’s joy was the simplicity and beauty of gardening. He took immense pride in his ability to cultivate the best tomatoes imaginable, often sharing them with family and friends. Also known as a wonderful loving husband, father, and grandfather, his family, to him, was both the most precious and important part of his life.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Mastrouni, of 62 years. Daughter, Gina Mowen (Jeffrey), son; David ‘Scotty’ Mastrouni (Morgan), two grandchildren; Jenna Mastrouni (Jordan), and Anthony Mastrouni (Katherine), two great-granddaughters; Audrey Bautista and Arya Mastrouni, and brother; Francis Mastrouni of Biglerville, PA, and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday February 28, 2025, at 11:00 am with receiving of friends and family from 10:00 am -11:00 am at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD following interment at Rest Haven Cemetery.
