Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Smith, 53, of Hagerstown, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wed., Feb. 18, 2015.
Born, March 25, 1961 in Frederick, she was the daughter of two very devoted parents, Paul Bernard Smith, Jr. and Darlene Frances (Delauter) Smith of Heathsville, VA.
Cindy attended the Schnurr Center for the Washington County Human Development Council.
Cindy was a 'girly-girl'. She enjoyed getting pampered and getting her hair and nails done. She looked forward to going on car rides with her parents and it was always an added bonus when she spotted any animals; especially dogs, cows, and horses! Cindy had a passion for music and she enjoyed singing and dancing right along to it. Picture books kept her interest as well as reading stories.
In addition to her parents, Cindy will be dearly missed by aunts and uncles, Doris Honadel, Sandra Rice, Sharon Morgan and husband Richard, Terry Stambaugh and husband Mervil, David Moss and wife Joyce, Jeff Moss and wife Shirley; her house mates, Sharyn and Millie as well as all previous and present caregivers from the W.C.H.D.C; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by a her paternal grandparents, Paul and Hilda Smith; maternal grandparents, Elmer and AnnaLee Moss; an uncle, Charles Delauter; an aunt, Louise Smith; and former house mates, Missy Birkland and Linda Bayline.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Burial will be private in Resthaven Memorial Garden, Frederick.
Family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Cindy's name to the W.C.H.D.C., 433 Brewer Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
