Cynthia Jean Bloom

Cynthia Jean Bloom, born on February 10, 1961, departed this life on April 5, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland. Born in Franklin County, PA, she is the daughter of the late Hazel Frances Sowers and Milton Arthur Bloom.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three grandchildren, whom she lovingly called “Beanies.” Though their time on this earth was brief, their impact on her heart was profound. She cherished each of them as if they had walked beside her, and they will forever be a part of her legacy.

For twenty-five years, Cynthia dedicated herself to the Western Maryland Hospital Center, where her compassion and commitment mirrored her nurturing spirit.

Upon her retirement, Cynthia reveled in the pleasures of life, savoring leisurely moments on her back porch surrounding herself with family and friends.

Cynthia loved cooking. She was a skilled baker and a chef at heart.

In her tranquil moments, Cynthia found herself captivated by the narratives of human experience, often indulging in videos about hoarders while sipping her favorite tea and relishing the thrill of crime shows that stirred her curiosity, but most of all cherished every moment she could with her family.

Cynthia is survived by her son, Tyler Bloom (Ashley), her daughter, Aiden Farrar; grandson, Jase; sister, Nora Line (Johnny); brother, Hank Snow (Minty), and several nieces and nephews.

The receiving of family and friends will be Monday, April 14, 2025, from 6-8 pm with a funeral service being held Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 10:00 am at Rest Haven Funeral Home 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland with Pastor Chad Carter officiating. The burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to share a meal at Maugansville Church 17904 Binkley Avenue, Maugansville, MD 21767.
