D. Elaine Grove-Squibb, 89, of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 17, 2022 surrounded by loving family, at her home.
Born on March 5, 1932 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Genevieve (Dieterich) and James D. Stickell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband; William Daniel Grove, and son; Stanley W. Grove.
Elaine worked and retired as a Branch Manager with Hagerstown Trust Company. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hagerstown.
Elaine owned and raised Thoroughbred race horses, loved the outdoors and was an avid camper. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles E. Squibb; Daughter; Deborah Shank and husband Robert of Hagerstown; Grandchildren; Stacy Auldridge (Michael), Robert Grove (Ann), Heather Gaver (David), Scott Sheppard (Rita) and family, Daniel McCoy (Kelly), Robert Whittington (Amy) and family, Will Grove, Zach Grove and Chase McCoy; Sister, Dolores L. Swope; Daughter in law, Jackie Grove; Step-Daughters, Lona Mastiano and Norma Hill (Henry); Step-Grandchildren, Matthew Mastiano, Kelli Swanson, Jared Hill; Step Great Grandchildren, Leo and Maverick and special friend Natalie Baker.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Washington County, 11370 Caring Pathway Lane, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
