Daisy Evelyn (Hensley) Miller, 70, of Hagerstown, passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 13, 1940, in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hazel Delwood (Werdebaugh) Hensley.
She worked as a home health care provider.
Daisy is survived by her daughter, Hazel Powell and husband, Ronald, of Greencastle, Pa.; a granddaughter, Stephanie Bivens of Germany; a great-granddaughter, Ariana Bivens; four sisters, Mary Cordero of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Nellie Alexander of Hagerstown, Alice Hornbaker of Mercersburg, Pa., and Fern Dumire of Salem, Va.; a brother, Jerry Hensley of Barnsdall, Okla.; best friends, Janice Paul, Judi Kenney and Rose McNeer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wava Edith Hensley; and two brothers, Thomas David Hensley and Robert Hensley.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Edward Poling officiating.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
