Darline Elaine Schmidt

Darline Elaine Schmidt, 80, of Williamsport, Md., passed away, Monday, January 23, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born July 22, 1936 in Frederick, Md., she was the daughter of the late, Robert M. and Mildred (Ausherman) Hessong. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her first husband, Hugh R. Smith and one brother, Donald Hessong.
Mrs. Schmidt was a 1954 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church, Hagerstown.
In addition to being a homemaker she had worked as an operator for C & P Telephone and retired as a sales associate for the Bon-Ton, Hagerstown.
She is survived by her second husband, Rev. Dr. Kenneth J. Schmidt; two daughters, Jody A. Spring and husband, Steve of Gaithersburg and Teresa S. Smith and husband Steve Werner of Williamsport; one sister, Gloria Mowbray of Redlands, Ca.; two granddaughters, Lynsey A. Spring and Loren M. Spring, both of Gaithersburg.
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Frank Duncan officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Darline's name to Paramount Baptist Church,13234 Marsh Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
