David Andrew Thomas, 89, of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, passed away, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born November 21, 1926 in Johnstown, Pa. he was the son of the late, Hobart and Elda (Horner) Thomas. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Robert Thomas.
Mr. Thomas retired from the U.S. Government where he worked for the Department of Energy.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Catherine Louise (Markley) Thomas; three children, Sharon L. Christman (Mark) of Hagerstown, Cathy A. Ficken (Paul) of Greencastle, Pa. and Mark D. Thomas (Lisa) of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
Friends will be received one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
