David Allen Ambrose, 54, of Charles Town, WV., died on Monday, April 9, 2018.
Born August 4, 1963 in Arlington, Virginia, he was the son of Beverly Joann (Petersen) Barthelow of Williamsport and the late Denzil Franklin "Frank" Ambrose.
David enjoyed shooting pool, watching horse races, and cooking.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Evelynn Petersen; an aunt, Janet Horn; and an infant nephew, Christopher Ambrose. He is also survived by a brother, Curtis A. Ambrose and wife Sandy Lam of Ranson, WV.; two sisters, Julie L. Ambrose of Converse, LA.,Cheryl C. Thornton of Shreveport, LA.; special cousins, Brenda Henry of Ranson, WV., and April Vanderputten of Parkland, FL.; nieces, Kaitlyn Waddle, Kadence Castillo, McKinnly Bracket; nephews, Curtis Ambrose, II., Kristopher Bracket, Kamden Jeter, Kaleb Jeter, and Evan Thornton; close friends, Mickey Oxenberger, Robert "Bobby" Armstrong, and Amy Lizer; and a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Inurnment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
