David Edward Brezler, 84, of Hagerstown, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016 at his home.
Born March 18, 1932 in McConnellsburg, PA., he was the son of the late Harry Edward and Anna Catherine (Doyle) Brezler.
David was a 1950 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
He was a 12 year veteran of the United States Airforce. After his service, he became a mechanic. David could fix anything from aircraft to cars to metro trains!
He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting and shooting as well as watching his favorite teams, the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins and Old Westerns with John Wayne.
David is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Nancy Carol (Ganoe) Brezler; three sons, Christopher Brezler and wife Catherine "Katie" of Hagerstown, David Brezler and wife Tammy of Maine, Randy Brezler and wife Julie of Washington; a daughter, Laura Hartley and husband Doug of Maryland; a daughter-in-law, Virginia (Phadette) Brezler of New York; 14 grandchildren, including two special grandsons, Graham and Mason Brezler; and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Brezler; two brothers, Ralph C. Brezler, Harold C. Brezler; and a sister, Mary Virginia "Ginny" Richmond.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Reverend Frederick Faust officiating. Entombment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, with military honors.
A visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
