David Paul Hamilton

David Paul Hamilton of Funkstown MD went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday December 30, 2022.

Born on April 8, 1953, in Cumberland MD, he was the son of the late H. Sherman and E. Mae (Lowery) Hamilton.

He was the kind and loving husband to his wife of 28 years, Debbie Hamilton.

He was a graduate of Allegany High School class of 1971 and retired from the State of Maryland.  He went on to work at Northrup Grumman, the Board of Education, and Hurley Auctions.

He is survived by his daughter Melissa Miller, son in-law Clark, son Shad Hamilton, daughter-in-law Jennifer, son Bryan Haywood, and grandchildren Zachary Keller, Michael Keller, and Maggie Keller.  He is also survived by his siblings - Sharon Hamilton, Ruth Cramer (Bob), John Hamilton (Raquel), and Gene Hamilton.

Dave was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved the outdoors, gardening, canning, cast iron cooking, and helping others.

​A public memorial service will be held Saturday, January 07, 2023, at 11:00 am at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
