David J Barber, 52, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on July 15, 2022, at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, VA.
Born July 6, 1970, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Jean Barber and the late William Barber, Jr.
David was a 10-year veteran of the United States Navy.
He was of Christian faith and attended Otterbein Church in Waynesboro, PA.
In his spare time David enjoyed playing horseshoes, golf, and loved to travel.
David was a member of Riverbend Horseshoe Club and the Martinsburg Moose Lodge.
In addition to his mother, David is survived by his daughter, Samantha Barber; stepdaughter, Jenna Stran; two brothers, Bill Barber (April) and Brian Barber (Marisol), multiple aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held, Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Robert Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
