David Rodger Rawlings, 70, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Friday, September 11, 2020, at War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born June 7, 1950 in Cumberland, Md. he was the son of the late Glenn Roger and Thelma Ida Catherine (Lepley) Rawlings.
David was a US Army veteran and a member of the Morris Frock Post 42, American Legion, Hagerstown.
He retired in 2012 after 39 years of service as a machinist for Mack Truck, Hagerstown.
David was a member of Pinesburg Baptist Church, Williamsport, Md.; Hagerstown Lodge No. 217 A.F. & A.M.; Hagerstown No. 89, Order of the Eastern Star; 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Cumberland Consistory.
David is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Debra Kay (Barker) Rawlings; two sons, David M. Rawlings and wife, Lisa, and Edward M. Fendley and fiance, Marissa Erickson; two daughters, Kerri A. Burtner and husband, Chris, and Pamela S. Brooks and husband, James; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Mason, Abigail, Elijah, Nate, Max and Molly and his best friend and brother, Bill Strine.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Pinesburg Baptist Church, 14706 Clear Spring Rd., Williamsport, MD 21795 with Pastor John Koontz officiating.
