Dawn Amber (Dimon) Richmond, 54, of Hancock, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at her home. She was passionately known as the "lime green lady", who often answered "awesome" to almost every exciting moment.

Born January 6, 1962 in Warrenton, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Diana "Lucretia" Medora Butler and Charles Edwin Dimon. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jean Dimon.

Dawn attended Princes Anne High School before going to trade school for plumbing and diesel mechanics.

She co-owned and operated a plumbing business, Lem Richmond Plumbing, alongside her husband, in Hancock, since 1989. Dawn was creative enough to span from pottery, gardening, stained glass to interior design. She was a member of the American Legion Post 239 in Cascade, MD, and volunteered her time with the American Heart Association and to anyone else who needed her time.

Dawn enjoyed every moment from dancing to loving and spending time with her family. Some special things that would make her smile were daffodils, frogs, and a day in the sun.

Dawn is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Lemual J. "Lem" Richmond; five children, Christopher L. Richmond, Diana D. Parson and husband Aaron, Melissa L. Cooper, Johnathan N. Cox and wife Kellie, Nikki L. Richmond; her twin sister, Fawn P. Proctor and husband Wesley; a sister, Suzanne St. Claire; a brother, C. Douglas Dimon; 12 grandchildren, Alexandria E. Richmond, Hailey R. Richmond, Remington S. Richmond, Taylor J. Farlling, Amber L. Farlling, twins Madison F. and Makenzie D. Parson, Landon D. R. Parson, Makayla Brittingham, Ashley Hales, Andie R. Cox, Aiden J. W. Richmond; two great-grandchildren; an uncle, Edward Butler; her three faithful cats, Kaos, Kiki, Harley;her pet bird, Jasmine; pet rabbit, Jasper; along with any other strays that needed love and a home.

Friends will be received from 10:00am-2:00pm on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD and again from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at Pat and David Schooley's Home located at 20702 Old Forge Rd., Hagerstown, MD.

A graveside service will be held in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown on Monday at 1:00pm with the Rev. Chris Ciccarelli officiating.
