Deloris Edith Twigg

Deloris Edith (Smith) Twigg, 85, of Hagerstown, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center.
Born August 8, 1932 in Artemas, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Stewart S. and Mary F. (Leasure) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Ray Twigg, who died June 29, 2010.
After graduating high school, Deloris attended Catherine's Business School in Cumberland, where she excelled in secretarial classes.
She retired as a claims adjuster from Wright Gardener Insurance Company. She previously worked as a claims adjuster for Tischer Associates Inc. in Hagerstown and as a secretary for J. Edward Cochran & Co.
Deloris enjoyed gardening as well as sewing and crafts.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debra L. Twigg, Gina M. (Twigg) Wetzel and her husband Trace; a sister, Alta Fetters; and a niece, Karen Fetters.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc., 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home and again following the burial.
