Dennis Wayne Smoot

Dennis Wayne Smoot, 65, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born in Hagerstown, Md on June 7, 1952, he was the son of the late Frances Madeleine (Fultz) and Charles William Smoot, Sr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles "Bill" Smoot, Jr.
He attended Williamsport High School.
Dennis loved working on cars, loved his family, and was everyone's go to guy.
He worked at Hagerstown Block Co. for over 20 years and retired from Manitowoc Crane.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Crystal Brown and husband Andrew; a sister, Frances L. Nicklas; 4 brothers, Jerry L. Smoot and wife Denise, Richard L. Smoot and wife Gina, Robert E. Smoot and wife Cynthia and James H. Smoot and wife Theresa; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday February 17, 2018 at Greencastle Baptist Church 2377 Buchanan Trail W, Greencastle, PA 17225.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown, MD, 21742 to help defray the funeral expenses.
