Denny Leeson Lewen

Denny Leeson Lewen, 51, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend passed away on June 3, 2024, in Hagerstown. He was born on March 8, 1973, in Kingston Jamaica to the parents of Lloyd and Ethel Lewin. Denny was preceded in death by his stepson Ryan Terell Kerns-Thomas.

 Denny was known for his dedication and hard work during his career at STULZ Air Technology Systems in Frederick, Maryland where he worked for over six years.

 Denny cherished his Jamaican roots and had a deep appreciation for his culture and cuisine. He found joy in cooking traditional dishes, listening to Reggae music, and spending quality time with his wife, and daughter, and was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins. He always brought passion and enthusiasm to everything he did. A man of impeccable style and grace, Denny always dressed impeccably - a true reflection of his inner charisma. He had an undeniable presence that captured the admiration of those around him. His favorite pastime included relaxing in his recliner while enjoying action movies.

 His friends and family will remember him as a man who was valued, respected, and integrity above all else. He earned the nickname "the KING!" from his wife's aunt Norma Green, a title that truly encapsulated the essence of Denny - a man of royalty in character and spirit as well, as a God-fearing man and faithful member of Zion Baptist Church in Hagerstown.

Denny's commitment to his loved ones was unwavering. He is survived by his beloved wife Norweena Lewen; daughters Deniesha and Deandra; sons Denlloyd, Dominique, and Damar; stepchildren; Frank and Maleyah; sisters Jacinth Lewen, Carla Lewin-Lawrence, Joycelynn Brown, Jacinth Lewen, Yanique Lewin; as well as numerous other relatives and friends who held a special place in his heart.

 The world has lost a shining light with Denny's passing. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and love will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in peace knowing that he was cherished and leaves behind his wife and daughter to cherish many memories of him.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at Zion Baptist Church, 61  Bethel St, Hagerstown, MD 21740         following interment at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown.

Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
