Dianna Jean Grimes

Dianna Jean Grimes, 78, of Hagerstown passed away peacefully November 7, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. 

She was born in Chewsville, MD to the late Wilbur Leroy and Letha Irene Brunner.
 
Dianna worked in the food service business for over 40 years before retiring in 2006.  She loved to cook and was an avid reader.  She enjoyed playing cards, doing crafts, shopping for antiques and watching her Dallas Cowboys.   

Dianna is survived by her son, Samuel H. Grimes (Wanda) of Denton NC and her daughter Letha L. Grimes of Hagerstown, MD.  Granddaughters Danielle Dahlby (Justin) of Lexington, NC and Kristi Smith (Ronan) of Wake Forest, NC and great-granddaughter, Adrienne Smith and great-grandson Dahlby on the way.  She is also survived by brothers Gerald Brunner (Vicky) and Wilbur Brunner both of Hagerstown, MD and sister, Shirley Shank of Homosassa, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Daniel Brunner, Nevin Brunner and sisters Janice Brunner, Mary Katherine Grimm, and Cleo Weaver.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 5-7 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.

Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
