Donald Jacob Cianelli

Donald Jacob Cianelli, 89, of Maugansville, MD, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at Doey's House Hospice of Washington County. Donald was the son of the late Antonio and Anna Louise Cianelli.

After graduating from North Hagerstown High School in 1951, Donald would join the United States Marine Corps. During his time in the service, he would reach the rank of Sergeant. After his service, he went to work for Mack Trucks. Serving as a Gage Inspector and later a Committee Man, he worked 30 years for Mack. He spent his free time in his early years fishing, winning prizes and enjoying his time on various lakes. Later, he took up golf and that became his favorite hobby. However, his greatest loves were his wife, Barbara (Fuss) Cianelli, and the Lord. He was always willing to do anything to support his family.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his grandson, Benjamin Cianelli and wife Amy Cianelli of Cumberland, MD; great-grandchildren, Emma Cianelli and Parker Twigg of Cumberland, MD; great-great-grandchildren Sterling and Ivy Twigg of Cumberland, MD; brothers Bob and Bill Cianelli of Hagerstown, Md; and sister Patsy Hoffman of Dallas, Texas.

 Donald is preceded in death by his son, Kurt Cianelli, brothers, Dave and Tony Cianelli and sisters, Betty, and Louise. Chapel Service followed by graveside services will take place Thursday, July 27 at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown, MD.
