Donald Irving Moss

Donald Irving Moss, 83, of Hagerstown, passed away, Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Ravenwood Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born November 22, 1935 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, James W. and Hazel O. (Brandenburg) Moss.
Mr. Moss was a 1953 graduate of Hagerstown High School, Hagerstown Junior College and received a B.A. degree from Catawba College, Salisbury, NC in 1958.
He owned and operated Master Painters of Hagerstown and retired in 2000 after 25 years as director of purchasing for Homewood Retirement Centers, Williamsport, Md.
Mr. Moss was a member of Christ's Reformed Church, Hagerstown where he was past superintendent of Sunday School, served as an usher and was past treasure of the Sunday School Bowling League.
He belonged to the Elks Lodge #731, Waynesboro, Pa.
Mr. Moss is survived by his loving wife of almost 40 years, Paula F. (Hengemihle) Moss, whom he married on October 31, 1979; five children, Michelle L. Clevenger (Craig) of Hagerstown, Steven Sperry (Kelly) of Salt Lake City Utah, Mark Sperry (Angela) of Saratoga Springs, NY, Patricia Comianos (Marc) of N. Myrtle Beach SC and Valerie Barbeito (Bart) of Myersville, Md.; thirteen grandchildren, McKenna, Reanne, Jill, Kimberly, Andrew, Tristan, London, Michael, Angela, Marco, Samantha, Danielle and Nick.
A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Dr. G. Derrick Hodge officiating.
Inurnment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Donald's name to Christ's Reformed Church (General Operating Fund), 130 W. Franklin St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
