Dorine L. Mumma

Dorine L. (Haynes) Mumma, 91, formally of Mulberry St. in Hagerstown, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village, Boonsboro, MD.

Born in Keedysville, MD, or as she called it, Hogmaw, on August 4, 1927. She was a daughter of the late Maude (Beets) and Edward Haynes. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Lewis W. Mumma; brothers, James E. Haynes, Douglas Haynes and Richard Haynes; sisters, Thelma Fitzgerald, Virginia (Tootsie) Harries, Shirley Finfrock and Kathrine Haynes; daughter, Dr. B. Jean Walker; and son Ronald W. Mumma.

Dorine was a homemaker but also worked several years for Hesco. She was a member of Evangel Baptist Church. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a friend to all, a care taker for her family and friends and was always willing to do all she could for others.

She is survived by her son, Donald L. Mumma and wife Chrys of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Linda J. Barnhart and husband Sam of Clear Spring, MD; 7 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 4 step grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc., 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown, MD 21742. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Pastor Ron Faith will be officiating.

Friends and family will be received one hour prior to service.
