Doris Jane Martin

Doris Jane Martin, 98, of Waynesboro, Pa., passed away, Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at her home.

Born October 27, 1923, in Hagerstown, Md. she was the daughter of the late, Emment Martin and Thelma B. (Hughes) Thomas and the stepdaughter of the late, Walter Thomas. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by one sister, Gloris Delauter; three brothers, James, Gerald and Gary Thomas.

Ms. Martin retired with 35 years of service as a certified nursing assistant at Washington County Hospital.

She attended Marlowe Assembly of God Church, Falling Waters, W.Va.

Ms. Martin is survived by one daughter, Donna M. Turner; five grandchildren, Ronald Turner II, David Turner, Mark Turner, Dawn Freeman-Cauffman and Angela Rinehart; four great grandchildren, Tasha Turner, Faith Turner, Christian Freeman and Tanya Turner; one great great granddaughter, Everliegh Turner; three sisters, Yvonne Young, Beverly Seilhamer and Shirley Young.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Jim Lloyd officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service.
