Dorothy Virginia McClay, 87, of Hagerstown, Md., died on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 at her home.
Born March 23, 1923 in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Cleggett and Bessie Mae Grove Chambers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank McClay.
She was retired from Eastern Products.
She was a member of Washington Square United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Deatrich and Judith Dowler, both of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Daniel Deatrich and wife Terra, Teresa Martinez and husband Jerome, Jeremy Dowler and girlfriend Denise, and Gregory Dowler and wife Courtney; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Leroy McClay; one sister, Vanetta Albert; and two brothers, Edward Chambers and William Chambers.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
Friends will be received on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
