Douglas Eugene Hutzell

Douglas Eugene Hutzell, 57, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Sunday, August 6, 2023, at his home.

Born March 10, 1966 in Hagerstown he was the son of  Patricia Ann Dawson and Clarence Thomas Hutzell.

Douglas was a graduate of Williamsport High School and the Washington County Vocational Technical Center where he studied Horticulture. He was a floral designer and owned and operated Village Florist in Hagerstown and Shepherdstown W.Va. for 28 years.

As a young boy he attended the Salvation Army and was baptized at Grace United Methodist Church, both of Hagerstown.

In addition to his parents he also is survived by one brother, Thomas Wayne Hutzell; two sisters, Kathy Sue Hutzell and Ginger Ann Eavey; one step sister, Staci Cloughley and husband, Sean; three nieces, Brittany Ditlow, Jamie Foltz and Raven Logsdon; three nephews, Bryan Ditlow, Derek Ditlow and Justin Hutzell; three great nieces, three great nephews and his very good friends, Warren Valerio and Steve Gossard.

Douglas was preceded in death by one brother, Calvin Clifford Fraley and one nephew, James Anthony Logsdon.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Salvation Army Temple, 525 George St., Hagerstown with Major Garry Dawson and CSM Larry Miller officiating.
