Edgar Vincent "Eddie" Warner, 80, of Hagerstown, passed away, Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born October 30, 1936 in Cumberland, Md. he was the son of the late, Edgar V. Warner, Sr. and Dorothy Grace (Grove) Warner. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by his wife, Meliha (Akayak) Warner; three siblings, Thomas Linn, Lois Lidie and Richard E. Warner.
Eddie attended Fort Hill High School in Cumberland and was a 1955 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
He was a US Air Force veteran serving at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri and Incirlik Air Base, Turkey.
He retired as a truck driver for Lafarge Holcim Industries, Hagerstown.
Eddie was a member of the Improved Order of Redmen, Conococheague Tribe #84, Williamsport, the Goodwill Athletic Club and he loved going on bus trips with his Hagerstown Friends.
Eddie is survived by three sisters, Shirley Smith, Phyllis Martin and Jennie Clifford; special friend, Pinky Warner all of Hagerstown; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave.,Hagerstown with Pastor Shane Wilt officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 P.M.
