Born Feb. 2, 1947, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Paul and Katherine (Clure) Martin.
He retired as a fiscal director within the prison system for the state of Maryland.
He loved to go boating on the Chesapeake and Curtis bays. He also enjoyed trains, trucks and boats.
Edwin is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Anne R. (Beach) Martin.
A memorial service will be Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Minister Kelly Wright officiating.
Friends will be received Tuesday one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
