Elizabeth Huston Wolfe

Elizabeth Huston Wolfe, 78, of Hagerstown, Md. passed away peacefully on July 29, 2015, at Golden Living Center.
Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Bessie Binkley Ryder and Robert H. Ryder of Hagerstown.
Betty was a 1954 graduate of Hagerstown high School and 1958 graduate of Gettysburg College. She retired in 1988 from Western Maryland Hospital as lab supervisor. She spent her retirement years traveling across the U.S. and several trips to London for cat shows. She raised many cats over the years and was an avid birdwatcher and member of several birding organizations.
Betty was a long time member of St. Peters Beard Lutheran Church in Hagerstown, Md,.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, John M. Wolfe in 1987.
Betty is survived by her loving cousin and caregiver, Judy Melby-Robinson and husband Craig, Judy's children and grandchildren and several cousins in N. Carolina, Illinois and California. She leaves behind many dear friends including Margaret Myers Goodyear of Bethesda, and Janice Carper of Shepherdstown.
Per Betty's wishes, there will be a private family service. Memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Peters Beard Lutheran Church, Old Forge Rd., Hagerstown, Md. 21742 or to Wash. Co. Humane Society.
