Erma Louise Garvin Swain, 91, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport.
Born Sept. 22, 1920, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Frank and Louise Jane (Ridenour) Kephart.
She was a 1938 graduate of Hagerstown High School, and retired from Hagerstown Bookbinding and Printing Co. in 1985 after 35 years.
Erma was a member of Maranatha Brethren Church and the Ambassadors Sunday school class. She was a former member of the Mason-Dixon Antique Automobile Club and the National Antique Automobile Club of America.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin C. Swain, in 2005.
She is survived by a son, Douglas Darryl Garvin and his wife, Dixie, a grandson, Dustin G. Garvin, and a granddaughter, Duana A. Garvin, all of Niceville, Fla.; and one nephew, two nieces and their families.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil L. Kephart.
Graveside service will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, with Pastor Ron Shank officiating.
