Ethel Joan Eccard (Tritapoe), 82, of Saint Cloud, FL and previously of Boonsboro, MD, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Plantation Bay Rehabilitation Center in Saint Cloud, FL.
Ethel was born at home, on March 7, 1936, in Wolfsville, MD. She was the only child of William Frederick Eccard and Shirley Kendall Eccard. She grew up on a farm in Wolfsville and graduated from Middletown High School in 1954. In the 1960s, she operated Huffer Clothing Store in Boonsboro, MD. She later worked at Frederick Memorial Hospital, JC Pennys and Hechingers in Frederick, MD. In 1990, Ethel relocated to Saint Cloud, FL. She worked full time at Port Orleans in Walt Disney World until she was 79 years old.
Ethel is survived by two daughters, Linda Walla and her husband, Steven and Robin Michael and her husband, John; grandsons Bryan Walla, Kevin Walla, Luke Michael and Jared Michael; great grandchildren, Emily Walla, Quinn Walla and Noah Michael.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her life partner of 29 years, Rev. Raymond G. Lowe, Sr. who passed away on December 24, 2017 at Plantation Bay Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at Mount Lena United Methodist Church, 21234 Mount Lena Road, Boonsboro, MD with Rev. Ron Kurtz officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery.
