Eunice Monroe McCall, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Hagerstown Healthcare Center.
Born in Laurel Hill, NC, April 17, 1931, she was the daughter to the late Burl Monroe, Bertha (Leach) Monroe.
Eunice, also known as “Nunny” is survived by daughters, Teresa McCall, and Marcia McCall- Saunders; son, Thomas McCall, Sr wife Andrea all Hagerstown. In addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grands, 2 great-great grands and 1 due to arrive in May. Host of nieces and nephews and friends who loved her dearly.
She was a devoted mother, who enjoyed spending time with her family, baking pound cakes and thrifting with her friends. She was a member of Full Life Family Ministry, where she was lovingly referred to as “Mother Eunice.” Eunice was known for her passion of taking care of others.
She came to Hagerstown, MD, at an early age with Dr. L. L. Packer and family working as domestic worker; later in life she worked as a nursing assistant at Ravenwood Lutheran Village.
Besides her parents she also proceeded in death by siblings sisters-Ruth Ford , Eula Murray, and Flora Fletcher; brothers-Willie, John Henry, Danny Hugh, James Burl, Cromwell (Buster), and Walter Monroe.
Special thank you Hospice of Washington County. Burial will be private, Pastor Paul Berry officiating. Celebration of life will be held later date.
