Faye Louise Breeden, 76, of Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at her home, surrounded by loving family.
Born on February 4, 1945 in Mt. Briar, MD, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Clara V. (Butts) Abbott and wife of the late Gerald W (Jerry) Breeden.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Marjorie Griffith, Martha Jones, and Patsy Reeder and seven brothers; Garland, Leon, George, Homer, Gerald, Gene, and Eddie Abbott.
She was a 1963 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
Faye worked 51 years as a crossing guard, starting with Washington County Sheriff's Dept. then for Washing County BOE Transportation Dept.
The loves of her life were her grandchildren and great grandson. She attended all of their activities. She also loved camping at Saunderosa Campground with her great friends and neighbors. She also looked forward to putting on all of the holiday meals for everyone. Faye loved to dance and also loved going out to dinner with friends and family.
She is survived by her sons; Todd Breeden and wife Kim of Maugansville, Rodney Breeden and wife Tracy of Hagerstown; Grandchildren, Branden and wife Brianna, Autumn, Allysen, Courtney and Madison; and Great Grandson, Apollo.
A receiving of friends will be held Monday, January 17, 2022 from 4-6 PM at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
