Frances Geraldine Griffith-Strait

Frances Geraldine Griffith-Strait, 76, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018, at UPMC Pinnacle, Harrisburg, PA.

Born in Keedysville, MD on March 2, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Margie (McCoy) Jones. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond "Dutch" Strait; an infant brother; and her son, Jeff Griffith.

Frances worked at Sanders Cookie Jar and later retired from Citicorp. She loved birds, gardening, playing cards, but above all else, she loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Forrest Griffith and wife Donna, and John Griffith and wife Tina; daughter in law, Beverly Griffith; brothers, Larry Jones, Carl "Punky" Jones, and Anthony "Skippy" Jones; sisters, Ardella Kline and Wanda Jones; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc., 1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Corey Berkey will be officiating.

Friends and family will be received one hour prior to service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frances' name to a children's hospital of ones choice.
